What is the INRAT Exam?
It is the prerequisite knowledge exam for the Instrument Rating.
Must have completed 20 hours of instrument flight/ground time to write the exam.
TC exam consists of 50 questions and the pass mark is 70%

Writing a Transport Canada Exam can be stressful...
The INRAT exam has such a high failure rate. Finding free time to study is hard and most schools try to rush you to write the exam.
There is so much subject material to learn. Not ever being sure if you studied enough.

The Canada Air Pilot CAP is very difficult to understand. The Aeronautical Information Manual AIM is over 450 pages long and its hard to know what to study.
If you fail then you will have to wait a long time to write it again.
- In the case of a first failure, 14 days;
- In the case of a second failure, 30 days; and
- in the case of a third or subsequent failure, 30 days plus an additional 30 days for each failure in excess of two failures, up to a maximum of 180 days.
