Why do employers want you to have this exam ready?
1. You can think of this exam as a knowledge gap between your CPL and ATPL. It shows the employer that you have a higher level of aviation operations understanding compared to a basic CPL holder.
2. They are training you on a complex turbine airplane, which you are not used to flying. The last thing they want to worry about is you struggling with the basic knowledge of turbine engines, reverse thrust operation, winter flying considerations, passenger regulations etc. Having this exam proves you are a knowledgeable pilot.
